The plaque on the pole is inscribed "To all veterans of Oneida County who have given their lives in the service of our great nation." Many members and dignitaies "fell out" for the first colors ceremony, including Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney, Assemblyman Dave Townsend, and Mayor Joseph Fusco, Jr.The flagpole effort was spearheaded by Ed Arcuri. Tom Arcuri, Mike Mills, and Kevin Underwood worked tirelessly on the project to ensure it was ready for the dedication ceremony on the Marine Corps Birthday.
